Swathi Bheemani (b. 1996) is from Malkajgiri District, Telangana. She has completed her Master in Fine Arts from JNAFAU in 2023 and her Bachelor’s from the same institution in 2020.
Swathi currently lives and works in Hyderabad, Telangana.
Swathi Bheemani’s artistic focus revolves around the underlying dangers that pose a significant threat to society, specifically concerning the infringement upon women’s sexual freedom. She employs a diverse range of mixed media to address the complex issues intertwined with gender discrimination and sexual violence.
Through her work, she aspires to bring forth awareness and provoke discussions on topics that often remain shrouded in taboo, challenging the reluctance to address these issues in both the private and public spheres.
