Manushya

Manushya describes himself as a "Black Rainbow during a white night," a poetic lens through which his practice navigates the space between reality and the surreal. Beginning with studies in biology before moving into interior design and tattooing, his journey reflects an evolving interest in intimacy, materiality, and the body. He later pursued a BFA and MFA in sculpture at Karnataka Chitrakala Parishad, working across diverse mediums, while his family's background in stainless steel manufacturing continues to inform his approach.

His work explores the tension between chaos and order in natural systems, drawing on processes of growth, decay, and regeneration. Using materials such as terracotta, salt crystals, metal, and organic debris, he creates fluid, evolving forms that echo cellular, botanical, and bodily structures, revealing transformation as a continuous, living state.
