Biography

About Leena Raj’s practice

I expand my idea of home beyond the confines of four walls, challenging the popular notion of a home as a limited space of homogeneous identities. For me, home encompasses diverse existences shaped by the bonds of camaraderie and the complexities that arise from interacting with others. I search for a sense of home in every direction, extending my affection towards various microcosms. In my artistic vision, I create surreal landscapes where humans coexist harmoniously with nature. I believe that true home is found in the interconnectedness of beings and the nurturing relationships we forge. It transcends physical boundaries and embraces the vastness of the world around us. In my pursuit, I aim to capture the essence of this expanded concept of home, celebrating the multifaceted nature of existence and the beauty that arises from embracing diversity.
