Aniruddha Parit

The tradition of Indian miniature painting as a stylistic genre has always fascinated artist Aniruddha Parit to portray his contemporary time in a particular manner. The timeless issues such as the thirst for power, toxic masculinity and objectification of the female body find their ways in his work. Hindu mythologies, a rich collection of stories on human relationships, have a significant influence on his art practice.

Aniruddha Parit received his Master’s degree in Indian Style of Painting from Government College of Art and Craft, Kolkata in 2017. He was invited to several residency programmes in New Delhi and Mumbai and has participated in a number of group shows across the country. He is currently based in Kolkata, West Bengal.
